I thought mine were only $49. Anyway not necessarily plug and play but min have about 6 months and 5000 miles with no issues. I've checked them and there has been no failures or fatigue "yet". I still want better ones but these keep my tires out of the fenders for now.
make your own holes??? that should make for some nice alignment.

I'm not necessarily condoning these, but it wouldn't be all that hard to make the holes the same on both plates. Just clamp the plates together and drill them at the same time.
