For a street car I would run nothing other than the Ground Control Touring plates.

I have a set of eBay camber plates, and they've done me just fine. The spherical bearing they use is more high quality than I was expecting, after almost two years of daily duty, track days, and autocross the bearings are still nice and tight and don't make any noise. I would recommend them.

I've got a set of the 50$ ones. I was gonna run them til I could get some better ones but these have been fine. No noises nice and tight. And I could buy 7 more sets for the price of gc's.

I've never seen $50 camber plates.

post pics of said $50 plates.

I run GC, never had an issue with them. if they break and i crash my car, theres a real company standing behind them. If they are too expensive for you, maybe consider a cheaper hobby, maybe go-karting?

Because it's junk unless you buy the most expensive option available.

i doubt GC is the most expensive option available. But yes, if its a chinese knockoff part on ebay then its junk.

what about cosmo racing? I've read good reviews about their coilovers.

visually (and structurally) the ground controls appear much better.

Dude, it's a camber plate. How complicated do you think that is? A spherical bearing inside of a metal plate that moves and is bolted to another plate.

it's not complicated, but those bearings are under a lot of stress.

GC uses bearings made in the USA and Germany. Guess where the bearings are made in the Chinese crap camber plates?

there are other things that make the GC design better than the generic junk on ebay.

Like I said, after two years of abuse the bearings in my 'cheap Chinese crap' (which were actually made in Poland) still looked better than half of the shit that I've seen from Aurora.

                            50$ plates

I thought mine were only $49. Anyway not necessarily plug and play but min have about 6 months and 5000 miles with no issues. I've checked them and there has been no failures or fatigue "yet". I still want better ones but these keep my tires out of the fenders for now.

I have these, they are very nice. Easy to adjust and they've got good markings so you can line them up left/right.

Vorshlag plates are more expensive than GC's.

Either way, running cheap Chinese knockoff suspension products is probably not the best idea.
