Bilstien bump stop removal question ?

I am installing bil. sports and H&R race springs on my 325i

and I see people have removed part of the bump stop to keep
the struts from bottoming out .

How much of the stop do I remove ?

    Thanks

Remove less to start. You can always cut more. Putting it back.. well..

I heard through another forum member that on the sports I don't have to remove any of the bump stop because the sport strut is shortened to work with lower springs . If I had the HD's they would need the bump stop partially removed .

???? any thoughts on this .

^ The sports have a shorter extended length (less droop) than HD.

What you are doing by cutting the bump stop is allowing more up travel (compression) before the shock hits the bump stop.
