ANY way to get like 1/4-1/2" more drop in the rear?

I'm on IE3s and Konis right now, and wondering if there's any way (without irreversible modification) to get the rear to sit down like another 1/4-1/2"? With my new tire/wheel setup, I've got like around 1/2" of fender gap, and I'd like to close it up. I'm going to put 15mm drop hats in the front, but I'd like to bring the rear down at bit more if I can, as well. Anyone have any ideas, or a method that's worked?

none that I could tell - ran that way for 5+ years. actually, the side of the spring without the pad was in better shape than the other side because dirt and water didn't get trapped in there. the other irony was the side with the pad still on it was starting to rust, and the side with no pad looked new...

I mean, if you do it and don't like it, you can always put the pad back on.

he has an early model, so imagine another 1/2" of fender gap.

Was going to mention extended rear shock mounts but realized that doesn't make much sense. Your spring length is the problem haha.

I think the guys at catuned made indentations in the trailing arms for the springs to be snug in, like an e36, but that obviously required fabbing. Endless amounts of spring pad adjustment if you would ever do it!

If i remember correctly it's like a 2 to 1 ratio of ride height to spring length. If you go this route, i would overshoot so you can fine tune with plastic or hard rubber shims.

If you still have both spring pads, i would yank them first to see if you can work from there.

you dont need the spring pads at all.
Nor do you need a spring height adjuster

just get the right rate/height spring for your car.

we have a spring with the proper rate for our car roughly 3" that just hangs out; jumping FIA berms and passing 2 wheels off is no problem.

not even a cable hanger is there. Its so short that when lowering the car one has to make sure it is aligned; but it works well. 15x9 or 17x7 in the back.

normal off the shelf billstein shock.

I'm very captivated by this trailing arm mod, sounds relatively simple. Anyone have more info and/or pics?
