I bought my kit all together and when I did, GC needed to know if I was going to section the fronts so they could give me the appropriate length rear springs.

I'm sitting just about the tallest it will go. I had it aligned and setup on scales at the speed shop down the block, they basically just leveled it out for me after I did the install.

It depends on what you're doing with the car and the length of your springs.

If you section an inch from the front housings it will make the front of your car an inch shorter even if you throw stock springs on there. You'll have to get new inserts though since yours are full length.

You may want to try calling ground control, they will be able to help you get it dialed in the way you want it and they'll be able to tell you if the parts your putting together will work well. (Since everything looked to be all GC stuff)

thanks, i will probably need to end up calling GC and explain to them what i'm after. The kit is used and so i got no documentation from the guy i bought it off of. Just new strut inserts from koni, and i freshened up the housing.

The car is going to be my DD and i plan on lowering it modestly, but i like having the ability to lower if even if its not that much. I wanted to start at stock ride height to see how that felt and then compare that to what lowering it .5", 1", 1.5" etc etc.

I shall play around with it, give them a call and post my results.

That will probably ride much like a fresh stock set of springs.......Guessing of course as I wasn't ever in a brand new e30.......

That's pretty soft. I wanted to run rates like that and GC told me I'd crack an oil pan. Ended up going with 440/650

Edit: rides firm but not jarring. I've got 80A bushings out back and rubber m3 offset cabs up front

Interesting, im not worried about the pan or cracking/scraping but i think if you went real low with this rate you'd run into problems but im not planning on that.

Im thinking its going to be a firm ride tho, especially when i bolt the Treehouse Racing CABs. Excited to see how those turn out (funny pun is funny :))

increased caster, saves space for swaps with exhausts. Plus they are "solid"

I can see the space saving. they're the same geometry as the m3 cabs right?

And if you want to save a few bucks (not much) Bimmerworld makes them too, and you can actually replace the delrin bushing in it if it wears out. I bought them, think they were like $160.
