Did you tighten or loosen the nut on the back of the tensioner bolt appropriately? The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Well the big bolt (19 or 21mm i think) is what you turn to adjust the tension. There's a 13mm nut on the back that holds it in place. If the nut is too tight you won't be able to adjust the tension because it won't move. If it's too loose, when you tighten it it'll just slide back. So you have to loosen it, tighten the belt, then tighten the nut on the back. The first car I ever rode in was an e30
