    Reading comprehension tells me otherwise.

You're missing the point. I realize you're not trying to cut springs. But you are trying to go low for cheap, which I wouldn't do and that's fine, just giving my opinion and offering advice...albeit with attitude.

From your previous posts I'd say you have a lot to learn, which is cool. Take the time to do some research. Or don't.

I have two e30's: one with coilovers, adjustable shocks, upgraded sway bars, bracing, and a skid plate (the summer/autox car), the other with ST springs and OEM type shocks (the dd). Neither one is even close to slammed. Both have carefully matched suspension components to make them comfortable, reliable, and safe. That includes all necessary maintenance and upgrades performed on the rest of the suspension.

My point isn't that lowered e30s look bad. 'Stanced, bro' e30s look bad, and slamming a car without regards to safety, reliability, or the handling dynamics of the car in order to get a certain look but save money is dumb and irresponsible.

You can't see the ride height when cruising in your car, so if you are modifying the suspension without regards to performance, then you are absolutely doing it to try and impress others.

I suggested budget friendly ways to lower a car while maintaining proper handling and ride quality, and you disregarded that and stated your intent to buy an inferior product just to get lower.

Dude just get JOMs. They're not good but they're really not as shit as everyone makes them out to be, and they're what you're looking for in your price range. But be aware that the adjusters are shitty and a bitch to adjust, the spring rates look like they pulled numbers out of a hat, the front goes WAY lower than the back, and the dampers will probably start leaking in 5-10k depending on how low you are. A proper spring/shock combo will run $800, but for $200 more you can get a GC kit with adjustable koni's, your choice of spring rates and lengths, height adjustability which I couldn't live without, and a lifetime warranty.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

OP, BC coilovers, 1k you can't go wrong, and they can go very low. Be weary of your wheel fitment and get fenders rolled obviously. Condor sells riser suffrage bushings to compensate for the rear camber so you don't tear through tires as bad. BC in my eyes is great. I've had them over a year in my daily which now is strictly a drift car and they are great on track. Invest in a skid plate as well, trust me it's worth the piece of mind. Red46 sells very well crafted ones for a great price. To each their own in styling their own car but try to do some research before just making a thread for a quick answer. There is too much info on this forum about lowering and which different ways you can do it.

Ive been recommending a setup that we did for my neighbor that takes a bit more effort putting together but imo gives the best low cost setup.

Firstly I get Fortune Auto 500 series front coils http://www.fortune-auto.com/fortune5...scoilovers.htm

The Fortune Auto distributors can order just a front pair for you (these are the weld on style like BC's but a much better quality item) for ~$675-750 delivered.

For rears I then go a Camaro KYB AGX shockshttp://thmotorsports.com/kyb/kyb_agx.../i-524007.aspx (these do require a 3/4" to 1/2" sleeve to fit the e30 lower bolt and i sand the paint off the top thread to make the shock mount slide on properly but its simple stuff)

Then for spring adjusters I go the Ireland Engineering rear setup: http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/E30-...E30rspadj.html

For springs I have found the best choice to be through Demon Tweeks in the UK: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motors...s-race-springs - They have as short as 4" in 2.25 ID springs to fit the IE adjusters, and they are about $130 landed for a pair. I wouldnt go stiffer than 650lb on the KYB shocks but if you go a mustang koni rear setup for a bit more $$ you can go stiffer again.

Total all of this together and its under $1100 for a much better quality setup than the BC kits and similar will offer you...

just to be clear, these BC coilovers have to be welded onto the car?..> Ive never heard of such a thing. Is this common? Necessary for a e30 m3 also?
