Stiff springs rates make you hate your car on NE roads. You guys really dont know how shitty they are up here.
Might need to change springs...

I'd recommend 350f/475r with the 6" springs front and rear.'91 318is

Do they make Cabby specific H&R races? I am in the market and I don't want to hit but would love to be lower and a lot stiffer?Comment

How are the roads in Canada? Ive been to Ottawa and Montreal alot but never made it to Toronto. Ive been pretty impressed with the quality of Canadian roads to tell you the truth, but the local town roads in coastal NE Scotty and I drive suck major balls. I might be worse though, NH doesnt spend a whole lot on their roads other than on decent plowing, which just makes the potholes that much more frequent.
You manage to swap in another pad yet? Shouldnt be to much work for just the rears right ;)Back to my roots

Will sports also give a good ride? I can't afford GC's right now but I want to lower and stiffen it up until out of collegeComment

I'm thinking Bilisteins and H&R Sports but is there a better setup such as Koni's instead of Bilisteins?Comment

Bimmerworld sells a 15mm lower rear spring pad
Bimmerworld sells a 15mm lower rear spring pad. The thickest OEM ones are 10mm.
The 15mm ones are acutally OEM pads for an E46 (p/n 33 53 1 094 754).Last edited by Jon '92 325ic; 05-09-2006, 06:04 AM.Comment

I had this problem with IE3 springs. I doubled up 10mm spring pads in the rear and also doubled the upper and lower spring pads in the front. The fronts are harder to stack.
I think the best way to raise the front is to buy front camber plates. I know some of them raise your ride height.Comment

Let the heresy begin!
Cut a coil from the stock springs using a cut-off wheel. You won't be able to tell the diference between them and Sports.Comment
