Outer tie rod stuck on. Advice needed

So I'm changing the driver's side outer tie rod on my 318is and can't get it to separate from the hub.
I've used a balljoint breaker and that didn't move it at all.
Belting the living daylights out of it with a hammer doesn't affect it.
Will sawing the tie rod in half help?
I've got a new tie rod to go in (obviously) and so don't need the old one.
