No idea where they're from, I think they came off an e36. They weren't shipped like that either. I just threw em on the I had that there to compress the shock to throw em back in the box.
Pics of the mount by itself? Top and bottom view will help. I almost think the black rubber bushing is not supposed to be in the mix.

Think about it from a vibration dampening point of view: It looks like there are 2 rubber bits. You want one on top and one on bottom right up against the mount. The metal washers go outboard of those. That way there is some cushion between the car frame and the shock shaft. I think #2 captures that approach best.

I doubt it matters which side the rubber washers go but you must have one on top and bottom. There should be no metal to metal contact with the piston and the mount. There must be isolation.
Yeah, num 2 is the best, but i feel like there are supposed to be two red bushings instead of a red and a black. Is the black one softer?
