A little help with buying coilovers?

hey guys, im not very confident when it comes to coilovers, i dont really know what all the specs mean and etc but i do need them on my car. So anyways, i have 1984 325e (2.7e) so if i understand correctly i need coils that fit models with 51mm strut tower, technically those should work then, but when i do put in my car to see if its compatible it says its not. im just confused here, and i know that the question is stupid but just dont want to order the wrong ones. Thanks a lot

The one you had linked will need the stock housing cut at the very bottom and weld in the coilovers. The rear just mount right in without modification.

I would double check your strut housing as some early eta have the smaller size housing. If you are 100% sure your housing is 51mm, then these should work with your car.

i believe only US 84-85 318i models came with shortened strut tubes, so guess im fine, thanks again!

I'm sorry you "need" coilovers but you don't know much about them? What makes you think you need them?
