    Progressive spring stiffness?

I may be thinking of switching to some progressive spring set....

    1) GC camber plates can be retained, right?

    2) what would be just a little softer and more comfy than my GC's at 300/475?

I may or may not be interested in Stage 3s. More likely, I'd just like some street springs that give a drop and a moderate stiffening up.

I can't give you answer for certain on #1, but I just ordered a TCK setup and they said that the camber plates needed to have a hat for the springs I got (60mm). If you goto GC's site and look at their camber plates, they have options for different spring types. Since the progressive springs you would be getting are most likely stock-sized, it'll probably work fine assuming your linear springs were stock diameter.

If you do some street springs (i.e H&R Sports), pair them up with Koni SA shocks and crank them up some. Or, get IE Stg3s with Bilstein Sports (I have the latter). With my set up, the front isn't dropped quite as low as the H&R Sport springs do (used to run these). What I have now is do-able for the street and pretty decent for the track. Mind you I am still running stock sways but I plan to do IE adjustable sways.

Here we go with the heresy!

Cut a coil from the stock front spings. You won't be able to tell the difference between them and Sport,

What about getting longer springs. Jay you have 6" springs right? And that made a difference in comfort right?

It's really these undersized Azenis which are driving me up the wall.

I really couldn't complain with a proper sized street tire... it was acceptable.

Pretty much. 6" front and 5.5" rear with a 10mm spring pad.

I originally had 7"/5.5", then 7"/7"+10mm, and now I'm at this.

And it is the tires. I went from RT-215's to ZE-512's (14 to 15 too), and the ride is WAYYYYYYYYY better.

I'm tempted to sell the whole wheel package, and buy 195/65 Potenzas 950s for daily driving...

but they are sorta sketchy for all seasoning.

What is a tire that has a stiffer sidewall than Ziex's, but decent snow traction? Indiana only gets a couple inches a few times a year, and if its bad, I can just park it... I'm literally across the street from campus.

Ditto on the tires. My car with stiffer rates than yours is night and day different on 195/65-14 all seasons compared to the undersized Azenis.

How about the J-stock kit from Turner? I remember a few years back someone was running this setup on the street/track. I know the springs are somewhat stiffer than IE3, so they may fail to meet your requirements.

I'm just pissy I'm back on undersized Azenis and the ride sucks. They are the real issue, not my suspension.

What are some good allseasons with non-marshmellow sidewalls? YO.

Turner's J-stock springs with 195/65-14's isnt that bad driving around Indy. If you want a ride in mine while you're back in Indy let me know.
