Found my stock ones are poop, I have the infamous clunk over bumps. Car has Bilstein shocks and some brand of lowering spring and the car is my DD. I don't want solid mount because I like the comfort level. Are OEM upper shock mounts my best bet even though they won't last? Couldn't I just get some poly bushings for the stock (Bilstein?) mounts and grease the hell out of them? I'd like bushings to last and be quiet, is there such thing? :D

Ive bought OEM shock mounts from the dealer. In fact bought E46 convertible ones. Changed them in parking lot and blew them one out two blocks later....

I brought Mayle e46 ones, They said they were pretty good and are going in e30ix, Won't be as harsh on them as some of super low e30's. My other e30 has ground control RSM and they seem to be made pretty solid. I would go aftermarket if your really low. Just my thoughts and get brand name ones too.
