You just need to give the perches a little love.

Jack the car up in front, mark your adjuster placement, thread the gold perch all the way down. Then you can get to the top of the perch, separate the gold cupwasher from the perch, the race(thin washer) will usually stick to it. Put a finger load of WATERPROOF grease on the bearing surface and reassemble. You should also put a VERY light film of grease on the concave surface of the cupwasher to allow free articulation.

Thread the perch back to it's original location and you're done.

    There, wasn't that easy...

Sounds easy enough, but does that still apply if I have the spece30 camper/caster plates? It kinda sounds like you are talking about the top sping perch, but I just reused the stock spring perch from the car as I still just have H&R sport spings. I would love to upgrade to a coilover system someday, but I am feeling poor again!

      Thank you for your help!

GC's spec plates are completely different. I have them on my '85 323i and they have never made any noise...

My 89i has their race plates and likes a little grease every 6 months or so.

Mine seem to be popping like a mother... I thought that maybe to strut wasn't tight enough and because of that that maybe the top hat wasn't moving with everything else when I turn the steering wheel, but then I overtightened one side and ended up stripping the threads on the strut.

If it helps I have the following front setup:
          Ground Control Camper/Caster SpecE30 plates
          e36 M3 Bilstein Sports
          e30 325i H&R Sport Srings
          e36 M3 front Knuckles
          e36 M3 97+ control arms
          Tree House Racing Eyeball arms
