    Weight distribution for convertibles?

Curious what it is, all I keep finding is for sedans and coupes. I took out my prokit springs and slapped them on an eta coupe. It is about two inches higher in the rear than my vert was.

close enough to 50/50. it will change whether you have a power top, m20,m42,s14.
but the front to rear is so floppy is doesn't matter at all.

Yeah the chassis is al dente at best lol. Going to try some structural foam inside the frame and rockers come spring. Have an x brace laying around too.

I also wonder how much difference it makes having the top up vs. down. It does go from being partially in front of the mid-line (when top is up) to all behind it (when down).

I love my vert, but it amazing how much chassis flex there is compared to my sedan.

I wouldn't think much, I've removed the top before and it wasn't that heavy. But for how much lower it makes the rear suspension I'd think there would have to be an extra 300lbs over the rear wheels. The front was lower in the 325e coupe vs 318ic too.

If I knew about the chassis flex I would've chose a sedan, had a 318is before. Felt it when I was test driving but thought it was just worn suspension. Hoping the x brace and foam will work.

^ Well, that link just lumped it in with the iX and the i. I don't trust that it is fully correct.

The improvement from a strut tower brace was so significant that I passed on an X brace

                          Ditto

I've had a strut bar on there since I got it, didn't think it worked since I still had cowl shake, glad it does help lol

I installed an ejnight cross brace and it made a big difference in reducing the flex and squeaking in my vert.

Glad to hear, waiting until I have to change the control arms to put mine on. Do you get any cowl shake on the highway? I have it around 60-70, so that's my excuse for speeding lol
