JOM Coilovers

Hey guys , i just ordered some JOM coilovers for my E30 for $365 Shipped , i was just wondering if u guys know anything about These coilovers ,,,,,,any reviews?

i have a sedan , automatic , nothing sporty just a daily driver im just looking for a flush look .... please let me know if these will be good enough....Thanks ...JOSH

really cheap stuff. don't drive like a maniac on them and you'll be fine. if you plan to do some aggressive driving i.e. auto-cross/tracking then get some quality stuff like the spec E30 H&R/Billy combo or some ground control coilovers if you prefer the car to be low low.

I have had them since the original group buy. They are low. And not too bad for cruising. I'm not a race car driver.

Pretty bad, depending on what set you got. Ride is bad, and the shocks/struts are not paired for the springs and you bounce quite a lot.
Yes you can get low, but that's all they are good for.

I just received mine. Fast shipping from ecs . I will post some pictures when I get them installed . I did my research about them for a month. I decide to go with jom because I'm not planning on doing nothing wild with the car but scrape on my way to work everyday. I should be fine

I have been wanting to install mine but you will need the toe/camber correction kit installed on the rear subframe for alignment after the drop. You will wear tires out badly.

you can get the GC springs for $400 new/ 200 used and used koni or billy sports for $300 and the ride quality is dramatically better.
JOMs ride like cut springs.

I got a pair of JOM's from a group buy here about three years ago. I wasn't happy with them, more specifically the rears.

Even with the rear adjusters installed and jacked all the way up, the rear coils were touching. That and I still had a decent amount of negative camber...to a point where I was scraping my exhaust and rear subframe on my 14'' basket weaves. Ripped the springs out and replaced them with H&R sports, brought the height up to where it needed to be and I drove with them for a year or so.

Eventually the crappy quality will catch up and the rears were starting to get a lot of surface rust and eventually failed on me in less than two years. Replaced them with Koni adjustables- much more happier with them.

I'm still running the JOM's in the front, adjusted all the way up and its enough that I don't scrape everywhere I go. The ride in the front though still feels like cut springs- but my solid rear setup makes up for the ride. They are still holding up after three years as I don't daily or track it. I've been looking recently to replace them because I know the struts will blow sooner or later.

Since you already purchased them, just pay close attention to them...you might have to piece together a good setup when the pieces start to fail. I think a lot of people gravitate towards them since you can get stupid low for stupid cheap.

Have JOM's on my 325i and they feel bouncy.
I'm starting to regret not going with the koni and bilstein set up. At some point might bite the bullet and swap them out.

Hey Guys i encountered a problem after I installed mine on my 84' 325 E I got them on fine and was driving to work the next day, hit a slight bump and the rear of my car sounded like it fell apart. immediately pulled over and discovered the rear jom strut pulled the boot out of the strut mount. thinking this was just bad mounts i ordered 2 new oem ones about half a day of driving on those. the other side popped the rubber out of the strut mount. quite frustrating really. Anybody have a fix for this??

u are missing the top wash dude. of course it will pull though. the other side will do the same
