Easy way to replace front springs?

I only want to swap out my springs do I have to take the whole strut assembly out or can I just unbolt the top, swing it out, compress the spring and pull it out? Or do I have to go through this whole procedure on pelican?

I think you'd spend more time trying to do it "in the car" than pulling the complete assembly. It really doesn't take that long. I can usually do both sides in an hour at most.

The longest part is compressing the springs, and probably more hassle doing it on the car rather than on a work bench. Not to mention, you may not even be able to clear the fenders to pull the springs off with spring compressors attached to them.

Easy way to replace front springs?

Pull the whole assembly. I spent an hour in the ER after gashing my finger trying to do it on the car. Much, much easier once removed. I wish I'd spent that hour removing them from the start.
