    stiff shocks

looking to stiffin up the rear of my e30! I'm running eibach springs and oem shcks now! not looking to break my wallet too much. Would love something adjustable as i do a decent amount of drag strip racing and would be nice to be able to tune them a bit! What about the camaro ones? how stiff are they? Also is there any air shocks? Like the gabriel ones you can buy for other vehicles?

Shocks are not meant to stiffen the suspension. If you want to stiffen it up, you need springs with a higher rate.

As far as dampers go I'd suggest Koni sport adjustables. Not externally adjustable in the rear, but you can adjust them on the car as long as you have a tool to remove the bump stop. You should really match all four corners, and I agree with the above statement. An undersprung car will not work well.

^^ thanks! I realize about the springs, already planning on swapping them with something heavier, just looking for different opinions on shocks

i suggest bilstein sports. should be able to find some reasonably priced. they hold up well.
if you want to make them work for heavier springs, you can have them re valved.

You can use KYB AGX's from an 80's camaro. All you need to do is swap out the bushing on the shock to an e30 bushing.

+1. I swapped out my bilsteins for Konis, and I'll never go back.
