UUC rear sway bar instal help

Hey guys, I finally got around to working on putting up the UUC rear sway bar but I failed. The bar is too short it wont for the life of me reach the other end.. I'm so disappointed I spent hours painting and preparing the chassis from rust damage, also trying to figure out all the hard ware and when the bar was left to be installed it came up short.

this is a picture below of the bar with bushing at the farthest end where it hits the 90degree turn, anymore and the bushing will start to open apart.. as you can see it will not align, too far away.

Is there a difference in bars between e30 years or models?

I tried contacting the vendor I bought them from "Catuned" have not heard from them. I asked them if they can help me no answer.. I asked them can they tell if maybe I was sent the wrong bar if so can I exchange if not can I buy just the bar, so I can move on with this? no answer.

Can you tell me if this a manufacturing error or model difference? its for a 87 325i. Appreciate any help!

There is no dimensional difference between models other than diameter.

Have you set it near your old one to compare?

I will take a picture together tomorrow.

I have tried loosening the driver rear and on the passenger rear pulling it to the farthest where the bushing starts to open do to the 90 degree elbow. I did it because my partners were saying "maybe its supposed to be a tight fit" so I pulled hard from the passenger rear to show it still will not reach the stud.

on the web page it mentions all models except M3.. Are you sure their is no difference? maybe manufacturing error?

Can you loosen the bracket that's bolted to the chassis a little bit, then get the outer bushing bracket bolts started, then tighten them all down in steps to evenly pull it all together into the proper position? It's hard to tell from the pic how far off it is, not sure if that's a possibility. It's been years since I installed mine, so I don't really remember how tight it was.

The OEM bar definetly has few more millimeters on the elbow..

(JGood) here is a picture more centered so you can see how much more left. First picture is passenger side, as you can I have it to the farthest point where the bushing is starting to come apart..

Second picture is shot more centered to what I think you wanted to see the distance needed.

Have you tried going directly to UUC and talking to Rob?

I'm surprised Igor isn't backing this up...

^ Cant, Bought through (Catuned) I finally received an email from them today, they ran the info to (UUC) and are still waiting for them to answer..

Do you guys have any experience with (Bimmer-World) and their Spec e30 legal sway bar? Looks like they can sell just the bar.

Having to wait for answers don't sound promising and I really like to continue by build. Anybody?

Just call UUC. Doesn't make sense to go through catuned for a tech question for a UUC product...

I felt like doing just that but since I bought them through (Catuned) perhaps its a different arrangement.

Back in my early college years I had my own stamp business and I remember I ((purchase)) my materials of my main source at a discount for a profit but my buyers had nothing to do with that main source. So I had that mentality..

It wasn't a tech question it was more of a I was certain this was either a wrong bar or fail in the manufacturing. So I asked if I have the wrong one if so can I exchange if not I'll be at a loss but I can move on. I just don't want to waste time with this build you know..

I haven't used Bimmerworlds bars, but I will say, James and his crew are a stellar example of how a company should be run.

I dealt with them for 10 years in my previous position, and found them to be very professional and helpful.

I had this same problem with my UUC rear sway bar install. I was finally able to install it, but it is very tight and the bushing is pulling apart because it is right at the part where the bar bends. I emailed UUC and they said this is fine...I'm noe having issues with the end links, as the bar does not want to move up towards the body of the car to allow enough room for the end links...overall pretty dissatisfied with the fitment of this product.
