You can swap the springs side to side to check for inconsistencies.
It's very rare for Eibachs to go out of spec. They are blocked at tthe factory and are garanteed for life not to vary more than 2%.
Over the last ten years, and having sold 10s of thousands of them, I warrantied three. All were extremely rusty. Yours appear to be reasonably new.Comment

Thanks I'll give that a shot and I guess if I see that it doesn't change its a for sure sign bushing are binding?
I will add this car in the past 5 years rarely has been driven maybe only 1 to 2k km a year. not sure if just sitting there has more of a negative affect on springs.Comment

With the couple sets I replaced it was pretty obvious they were shot, the rubber was worn and cracked, and one was actually starting to tear. If you want to test them just pull the trunk lining and with the trunk open load and unload the rear suspension. They should be pretty solid, so if you see the top of the shock moving around then you should probably replace them (they're pretty cheap).88 325is - S52 powered

they look fine. new almost. but I will add the black part which I guess is the mount. when you press down on say the trunk you can see the mount (black part) move a little bit as if it's moving with the movement of the shock. but the shock is in there solidly.Comment

No. I don't think the springs are your problem. a quick switch will eliminate that as a possibility.Comment
