Koni Race Part Number for Rear Shocks

I've been running Koni Sports from a GC kit for two years now, and I have to part with them because I'm selling the car they came from.

As replacements, I'm looking at the single adjustable Koni 8610-1437 Race for the front. These are slightly shorter than iX inserts, but with higher valving.

When I get to the rears, I'm lost. I want something that will perform similar to the fronts, but I can't figure out what that is. I figured I'd just run M3 rear koni sports or something, but they (and apparently all E30 application konis) are compress to adjust.

The "E30 Shock Option" thread lists "94-04 Mustang Exc. IRC" (8041-1186-Sport) as a rear option, and supposedly TCK uses this shock for their kits unmodified(although their site says the part number is 8041-1186TCK?), but recommends a 500 lb/in spring rate.

Current spring rates are 450/650, car is used for autoX and casual drives around.

    wat do r3v?

    Updated 2017-02-20:

Emailed and heard back from a Koni rep this morning, figured I'd update this thread with the following info:

The 8041-1026 Sport is shorter by 5mm in compressed length position, however it does not use a bump stop.
The 8041-1186 Sport does have a bump stop installed from the factory which makes contact with the shock body 50mm before full compression is reached.
The dampers are valved exactly the same.

Looking at the Koni Race fronts and TCKline rears, it looks like a set of shocks would be $1250 to my door not including shipping from TCK or duty.

On the other hand, iX fronts and Mustang rears are $919ish to my door through THMotorsports, which isn't really that much more reasonable.

Now I'm seeing that this shows 8041 1026 Sport as the rear shock for the mustang (which is also what comes in GC kits apparently) instead of 8041-1186-Sport which was listed in most threads. Not sure what the difference is.

Alright, some more info just for shits and giggles:

        http://www.koniracing.com/SPA1.cfm - 8041-1186-Sport

        http://www.koniracing.com/ovalstock.cfm - 8041 1026 Sport

Now, neither of them are actually listed as a dedicated shock for drag racing, or oval racing, just a general "Sport" shock. I'm not sure why they'd bother to list a different one in each category though.
