If yours are 6 pointed, you may have KYB shocks in the front and the collar nut won't work with KONI's. Need the OEM one as far as I know.
I didn't shorten my housings, I just cut my spring perch off and welded on the GC perch (which I asked for, not sure if there included) and I'm happy with the ride hight I'm at. The one tip I have to give you is if your using the stock top mount bearings, make sure a 21 or 22MM socket (can't remember what KONI uses) FITS in that damn hole to tighten everything together. My socket wouldn't work, people said to use a thin walled socket, that didn't work either. I ended up buying there camber plates to solve the problem however aftermarket top hat bearing have a bigger hole to accommodate the bigger nut KONI uses that allows a 21 or 22MM socket to fit. My car was on jacks for two days when I waited for camber plates.

GC told me that I wouldn't have to weld that's the whole reason I got the kit is it necessary to weld? Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions I've read so many posts each saying opposing things so I'm just a little confused at this point lol. Thanks for the help btw
No worries man, glad to help, in fact I think I have some OEM collars I could get out to you for $10 shipped!
You don't have to weld, however I'd HIGHLY recommend cutting off the spring perch for some extra adjustability. An angle grinder would work fine. Don't cut the whole thing off though! Just trim enough so you can make the GC adjuster go down as far as you'd like it to go. Hopefully this helps Ya man!

I just swiped out the original cartridges in my 87 ETA and they were 6 sided. A large pipe wrench worked rather wellSeat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com
