    325IX Rear Swaybar Help

All of the bushings and drop links were shot on my 325i rear swaybar. I found a bare 325IX swaybar for sale from another member here. I purchased new bushings, drop links, brackets but something is missing. According to RealOEM, the 14.5 mm rear IX sway should have a hole in the end to which a retaining/cotter pin goes- see attached diagram. The bar that I purchased is solid (no hole). Thoughts (aside from drilling a hole in the bar)?

You don't need the pin. The sway bar end links hold it fine. I wouldn't waste time/effort drilling any holes.

Thanks Nick- so just a press fit on the end-link (it IS pretty tight!) and no need to use a washer and cotter pin to hold it in place?

there's no pin or clip. The diagram is misleading.

Lube up the bushing with hot, soapy water and push it on. Once it dries, it's locked in place.
