My 19mm impact socket is too thick to access the top nut on my strut assembly

Can someone recommend another way to get that sucker out of there? Quick and dirty is fine, I'm pulling some H&R springs off my parts car...

Or alternatively, recommend me a line of thin wall impact sockets. I'm using HF stuff right now.

Go to Sears and buy a regular 19mm by crafts man. Get the chrome one that fits a 3/8" ratchet. The 1/2" drive is beefier. You don't want the black impact sockets either

Don't use an impact socket. Problem solved.

The torque on that nut isn't very high, so there is little chance of breaking the socket. I've used a non-impact socket to take apart over a dozen struts over the past several years and never had an issue.

Grind the walls of the socket down so it fits just don't go to thin and do it on a cheap socket preferably
