Beating a dead horse: which konis for 1991 318i

    Need help ASAP! I have a 91 318i non m tech.

I'm buying Koni adjustables in the front and need to know which ones to get as there is a ton of conflicting info online from vendors and Koni on part #s. Is it:

    8641-1021 sports? Or 8641-1210 sports?

Both 51mm strut housings. I'm using H&R race springs. Has anyone bought a set for their 318i and what part numbers did you order?

Ecs shows 864-1029 but everyone shows these being the 45mm housings. For the old 85 318i. I'm guessing i need the 1210s for the race springs. Just want confirmation before I order. Thanks.

I think you need to the 1210 sports.

These are for the 51mm housing and are 20mm shorter in max length than the 1021

I just bought the 1210 for my 91 318is and need to get new springs as well.

Let me know what you think!

I have some Koni Sports for the front that will definitely fit your car if you're interested?
Bought them new a couple years ago. Still have their boxes and all that.

FWIW, the 1210 is what came with my GC kit, and they compress much shorter than the billy sports they replaced.

Felt good with 440f springs, and then on my other car with the 450f GE coils.
