    Leaking steering rack?

hi guys... so in the process of changing out my tie-rods, i removed the boot to see fluid inside... is this leak something that needs to be addressed? sorry if it's a silly question... but just started learning how to swap out stuff

    some more info:

when parked, there was no dripping or puddling underneath car. Just checked power steering reservoir and that's fine. even now with the boot off, sitting in my garage for the last few days, no dripping. Any ideas how i can determine if this is something that needs to be addressed or if i'm okay driving it the way it is?

    thanks.

Sitting in the garage will not generate pressure in the boot. If it's wet in there your seals are shot and will only get progressively worse.

WYAIT get an e36 rack from rackdr and be done with it

showed the photos to my mechanic... said i could drive around for a bit more. he also suggested an e36 rack. I already bolted everything back together... so i'll drive around a bit while i save up some money for the rack.
