    Rear swaybar reinforcement?

I'm about ready to put my suspension together....since I'm waiting for days for a frigign' circlip for my shift linkage.

Anyway, I've got the 22mm front sway and 19mm rear sways from Suspension techniques, and I've been told that I need to reinforce the rear swaybar mounts because they'll rip off of the car, even using the reinforcements that came with the car.

Anyone have any experience with this?

What do you want to know? What you were told is true. You need to reinforce the tabs on the trailing arms that the swaybar endlinks mount to. If not, they will tear off. It's even worse if you have soft springs.

      I have H&R race springs.

I was told that I had to WELD reinforcing points in in addition to the reinforcements that came with the setup.

I was wondering if that was true.

I just got my tabs welded on in the rear. I didnt reinforce the front, i just got better endlinks. I got my tabs from TMS.

Of course. The reinforcements that the ST swaybars come with are simply two triangle pieces of steel. They don't do anything unless they are welded to the trailing arms.

You will have to reinforce the chassis mount too :

                Check these out :

We are using the IE reinforcements. Maybe an option for you :

We also reinforced the little plates the swaybar links are attached to.

Just grinded the gurney off, welded a plate on it with a little curney. There's a howto on turnermotorsport.com if you don't get what I mean :
