e46 rack swap check valve

i put an e46 steering rack in my e30 and the e46 rack came with what looks to be a check valve built into the pressure line bolt on the rack itself. now the e30 had no check valve in the pressure line bolt. should i run the check valve or no check valve? thanks.

I ran into the same thing and decided to run with the check valve. I asked in a separate E46 rack thread but didn't seem to get many responses. It has worked for me over the past ~9 months without apparent issues.
