    Is this right?? (pics attached)

    Hey people,


    Having a squeaking sound coming from the front end when i go over speed humps at low speed.

    Pretty sure its from the shock cover-thing, which I can move up and down the shock with my hand and make squeak. (see pics)


    Questions:

    What is this part actually called?
    Is this supposed to move like this?
    Does it squeak because its f*cked?

    That is the bump stop and dust cover. They are supposed to be able to move. I can't imagine either would squeak as one is foam and the other is plastic.

    There are several bushings in the front suspension that could squeak. Could also be the spring rubbing against the spring perch if the spring pads are worn out or missing.

    Have you replaced any of the suspension?

      It could just be the pic but that lock nut looks cross threaded
