Sorry to jump in here, but what parts to i need for the full conversion? id be happy with ether the z3 or 95 m3 list, be a good mod to do while the v8 is out of the car for the last time

I had the Z3 rack in my 325, but when I got the M3, I swapped racks. The Z3 rack in the M3 feels better, with nicer on-center feel, probably due to the M3's much greater castor. The on-center numbness is gone. It felt a little too fast in the 325, but seems like it was made to work with the M3. YMMV.
