How long will the stock shocks last?

I just got an e30 with about 100k miles. The suspension feels pretty nice and tight. I want to do some ie stage 3 springs and eventually some bilsteins or konis, but right now I don't really have the cash to do both. If I do just the springs for now, will I be ok for maybe 4-6 months? or will the lowered height blow out my shocks real quick?
    thanks, Andy

The springs will kill the shocks. In back no big deal but in front is is quite a bit of work. Unless you are prepared to r&r the struts 2x I say wait and do it all at once.
