Bilstein is just a brand name Bilstein sports and HDs have the same valving, but the HD is designed for stockish ride height and the sports are designed for lowering springs.:: PNW Crew ::

Yes, the tourings are for a softer ride. I have them in the front right now and they feel great. You still get the lovering, but the ride feels very responsive, yet won't kick your ass over the bumps. I have eibach springs.Originally posted by cabriodster87"Honey? What color is this wire? In fact the piston on Bilstein sports is thinner than most of any e30 front shocks. The thick metal tha comes out from shock is in fact the "pump", bilstein shocks are constructed "upsidedown", so the real piston mounts to the bottom of the insert housing and upper mount is on "bottom" and of the pump.Current:

The thick metal tha comes out from shock is in fact the "pump", bilstein shocks are constructed "upsidedown", so the real piston mounts to the bottom of the insert housing and upper mount is on "bottom" and of the pump.Comment
