    Bilsteine HD and H&R

Has anyone had experience running Bilstein HD and H&R sport springs. Will i damage my shocks/struts.

I wouldn't say you will damage them, but they are designed to operate with stock height springs, so they may wear faster or not give the desired results. You would be better off with H&R OE's or Bilstein sports. Do you currently have that setup, is that why you are asking?

I have the OE springs with HDs and am thinking about buying some H&R sport springs to give my car that lowered look. But if it is going to damage or not make the struts work properly then i will not get them. maybe in the future the HDs will be up for sale.

Well, I'm going by what I've heard. I'm sure there are people using that setup, maybe for a long time, with no major problems. Don't take my advice too seriously, I'm just regurgitating info I've heard, with no experience :D

Bilstein suggests against it. My fathers e30m has HD's and h&r sports that have bee on there for 10+ years without fail.

Check my car here. I was wearing H&R Sport springs when the first (day) picture was taken, although with different (Boge mtech) shocks. The second is with Vogtland springs (not much of a difference) :

It's not an old car. It's an old friend.

Just do it, and if they go bad, call up Bilstein and get new ones. hehe

My car with H&R OE's, Billy Sports:

It's lower than I was expecting with the OE's, which is great :) I think I may try and switch to Sport front springs to bring the gap down a bit.
