    rear shock mounts

Just recently i noticed a noise in the rear of my car and checked my rear shock mounts. The rubber on one of them is starting to rip. I have Bilstein HD shocks with relatively new OEM shock mounts that are less then 4 yrs old. I think the shocks are too stiff for the mounts. Can anyone recommend something stronger so the mounts will not fail. Keep in mind that this is a daily driver and i do not track or anything like that. Just some spirited driving every now and then:) thanks Matt

Go with the Bimmerworld Lifetime RSM's. Built to the same specs as E46 M3, better materials, and lifetime warranty on them.

i just received my RSM from bimmerworld. They are the mounts with the lifetime warranty. I have not installed them yet and i have a question. If i remember correctly there is a cup shaped washer. What is the correct way to install this washer? cup up or cup down? thanks matt

Can i use the existing hardware to install the new RSM. When i spoke with guy from bimmerworld he told me that i needed two 10mm washers for each strut. Therefore do i need to purchase the 10mm washers or can i use the existing hardware which is the OEM hardware. thanks

^ Technically you would want to replace all three nuts on both sides, since they are self locking. You can reuse the washers. Make sure the on top is cupped up and the one below the mount is cupped down
