i got some bilstein sports for $378 shipped, now i just need to decide what springs to get. I want to be able to make it over speedbumps without hitting IS spoiler or oil pan. ive seen some cars with H&R sports that look really low and others that look perfect. ive also seen some cars with the OE's that look lower than 1". do the springs get lower as time goes on?
the tires on my car are 195/60 r 14. stock(my original spare tire) is 195/65. so my speedometer is 2mph off, and my tire radius is .4 inches smaller. are there any advantages to this, i hear it helps put more torque to the ground. so even if i get OE's my car would be 1.4" closer to the ground than a stock 325i.
okay. i bought H&R sport springs with, bilstein sport shocks. i received the shocks the next day. but i haven't received the springs yet. i will update with pics of installed on car ASAP.
it still sits the same 2 weeks later. i cant get it to scrape on anything. it doesnt even come close to the oil pan AT ALL. i live in a complex with some NASTY driveways and it wont drag anywhere. my suggestion is also while youre in there get yourself a kit for the control arms, CAB's, tie rods, sway bar links and of course new shock mounts front and rear. do it all while its out. youre not going to believe the difference it all makes when you do it all at once, its like a whole new car.
