84 325e Tie Rod Replacement / home alignment??

Ok, after replacing both sides (complete tierods & ends) the steering wheel is off center by like 20 degrees clockwise. I thought that I measured and set the ends correctly, guess not. Is there a home alignment procedure that I can do to set them correctly? (I used to use a tape measure on my 89 VW GLI 16v to set 1/8" toe out, but only 1 tie rod was adjustable on that car.)

    Thanks!
    Chris

I've done it this way and it isn't to bad. the concept is easy to understand and you don't need crazy special tools just a good ruler some jack stands and strings
