I was thinking about getting them instead of sports. It would be a lower drop and they do fit in there and I don't need anything to put them in there would I? Thanks.

They are only listed for the e30 M3 but will work on any e30. You will need a spring compressor kit to take the strut assemblies apart to reinstall the new springs. Fairly good write up on step by step process here under the stability / suspension section (also wouldn't hurt to own the Bentley manual as well).
Some say they acually have the same drop as the H&R sports, but I can not verify this either. Maybe some will chime in on that.Comment

I have Sport's on one of my e30's, Race's on the other, sitting side by side in my driveway. No difference. The extra spring rate negates any drop that would otherwise occur. The actual decompressed Race springs are 1-2" shorter then the Sport's.Comment

my 325ic with race springs sits maybe a little bit lower in the front, but not really noticeably, but definitely in the rear is lower than the sports that were on previously. It tucks the tire just a little bit, whereas it used to be just flush with it. The front is now flush and I think used to have a slight gap.Comment

Just get the race springs and don't look back. They are a better spring for a good price. Quit contemplating and just get them.
Oh and they do sit lower. They are comparable to the eibach height. Looks very good and are very stuff for non coilover springs.

Did you ever put the race springs on? I am about to make the same move for my non-M car and I was wondering how it worked for you.** Lot's of M20 turbo parts for sale.**
