Jay it's really cool to see you become a part of the community. I have been debating different suspension set ups, but after hearing you talk its quite clear what i want to do now because of your customer support. Thanks for this response as well!

The camber plates I have came with one of my e30s, and I didn't realize it was such an old version. Clearly the e30 plates you currently offer are different than what I have, so it was not right for me to compare them.

The new ones are not pictured until we become a vendor.
If you take the plates off of your cars, you will get the exact same pictures as me
I wish you would have looked closer beforehand.
Thanks, JayHere is my photo gallery answering common questions about Ground Control Suspension, and e30 suspension problems in general.

The most striking part of the story was the great service that you guys had to replace that damaged part at no cost to him. Very hard to see nowadays and I applaud the effort.
He's a board member, so if he wants to come forward and further explain it, I'll let him step up.
And that's my contribution to this thread.

Awesome response, sure beats an Umnitza vendor rant on bf.c.
Jay, you helped me out with my E30 conversion kit about 5.5 years ago; I have put around 120,000mi on it without a single issue. I never bothered with the plates (daily driver, not a fan of the NVH), but I'm glad to hear they are a competitive offering.
Hope to see you around on R3VLimited for some time to come.

i dont think you should give erik such a hard time about this, yes he gave information against your product (incorrect or not) but he didnt issue a mandate for all to buy vorshlag. And ive visited your website once or twice and havent ever read anything about a free camber plate bracket, and unless i knew it existed and was searching specifically for it i doubt i would find it so it is unfair for you to be angry that he didnt know it was there.
a simple post with the facts would have been fine, whether you meant it too or not your post came off as a bit of a personal attack on him. He even apologized to you and rather than accept his apology you cut him down again. Not a good way to deal with people imo.
edit: to business, i have a question. In your pictures you have the deck height measured using GC plates and GC upper perches, as well as Vorsh plates and upper perches right? are your perches compatible with their plates? if so what is that deck height?Last edited by NC325iC; 08-24-2008, 10:08 PM.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Jay - I don't know if you want to answer this in this thread, but I know you guys sold a pair of camber plates & modified strut housings to a guy with an ix. I was curious how you came about the design of the plates for the ix - since the ix bearing is inverted (above the strut tower) compared to a regular E30. It didn't look like he had very much suspension travel, but his was quite a bit lower, and he also had shortened housings (with custom inserts??). Suspension travel seems to be a big limiting factor on a track/autox ix, I only have maybe 2" and I'd like at least another inch. :(
I also don't get the horror stories about GC, maybe it was just during an especially busy part of the season. However, I also like "the other guy" and have had good service from them. The E30 "world" being what it is, it's great that we have as many choices as we do for stuff like this. so let's let the facts speak for themselves and keep vendor bashing to a minimum. :)

I don't think that was a personal attack really.
