Now which rates are recommended for someone who summer daily drive is car with spirited driving. I'm not autocrossing. My fenders are rolled and I'll run wide wheels with stretched tires.
I have Apex right now and they run like shit. They're very soft and my car feels heavy like a big american car.
I went from Apex to GCs with 350 front and 475 rear rates with Bilstein shocks. It is pretty stiff if the roads are less than perfect, and is a great way to find new rattles. If you are running Konis, you can go stiffer than this. I autocross regularly, and these springs (stock sways) are a little on the soft side for my taste.
It also depends on how low you want to go. If you are looking for a really slammed look, you will need to buy shortened konis and shorten your strut tubes, which will also give you a better ride as a result of more suspension travel.
I'm planning to go with Bilstein Sport. I don't want to be slammed but quite low so should I buy Corrado insert ?
The "Corrado insert" has been popular, only because the very first Ground Control custom Koni was based on the shell of a Corrado (part number 1198). Then other people starting selling Corrado struts thinking that they were similar (they are not).
So that is the reason behind the recommendation you have received. The person who is selling you the Bilstein "Corrado insert" should be prepared to back up their recommendation with dyno information or otherwise, but in my opinion after studying dyno sheets, the Bilstein Corrado is not as good of a choice as other Bilsteins.

Does GC offer the cut/welding service of your own strut tubes (as stated in description) if we buy this kit and ship you the strut tubes?
Yes. There is a $190 option that shows up when you order the parts, but in addition to shortening we pretty much do everything we can to the strut. Most people go ahead and do new wheel bearings at the same time.
We can also do different colors. Here is a 2002 kit (for a green car) that is powdercoated green and black, and all of the aluminum was green anodized. The powder coating color change does NOT cost extra, but the custom anodizing is $75 for everything.

I'm currently running my GC setup with the stock perch still intact...
Could I ship spare strut housings for this option to get them shortened along with ordering short bodied Koni's, and you use my M3-style swaybar tabs I bought a little bit ago?
I have a blown strut and no longer want the stock perch and want to run M3-style swaybar setup, so having GC do it would be helpful, versus finding someone local to weld who may not know what they are doing...

Yes, no problem. We even can do pink powder coating.

Hmm, I may eventually have to take you guys up on this. When I have money. Which unfortunately might be awhile. Does that price include installation of M3 swaybar tabs?
BTW I'm not slammed and havn't had an issue with autocrossing on them and bilstein sports. Running a cab front bar and stock rear. For me, it will be about perfect with M3 tabs on the cab bar and an iX/M3 rear bar.
Yes. Also swaybars will make the car much more flat. This makes the car feel nice on the street just as much as makes the car perform better. They will reduce body roll without ruining the ride.
I've never heard of a group (the E30 group) so much so against increasing swaybar size.
IMO go as big as you want in the front, I have a cabrio bar, if possible REMOVE the rear, with our twacked out suspension geometry im having a problem putting down the power. I had a 19mm ST bar and I swapped it out for a dinky 12mm Eta bar. After my next round of changes I will be removing it altogether.
Shameless plug, I have a set of two 6" 300# front Eibach ERS springs from ground control for sale. $60 shipped.
