Cluncking sound from front?

Hi Guys,

My ride is lowered on E30 m3 springs and bilstein sport shocks, I hear a clunking almost snappy sound when I take off, seems like its coming from the front, what could it be? I am trying to describe it as clear as possible, the sound disappears once the car is rolling, only hear it at initial take off, could it be the strut mounts (which were replaced when the car was lowered)? I had a real bad clunk going over speed bumps and such and when I had to break real hard. Turned out I had a bad control arm joint on the passenger side, down where it connects to the strut. Replaced today so we will see if that fixed my problem. FYI!

+1 same problem

control arm was replaced about 5k miles ago. anything else? I still have the cluncking coming from the front drivers side suspension.

Also it seems the steering is a bit difficult, when i decide to break seems like the car is pulling left and right when coming to a stop. Control arms are good, CABs as well, tie rods and sway bar links also. Could it be the steering rack? I read also that if the strut mounts are shot, car can pull a bit, but i replaced my strut mounts along when i lowered the car, i don't see cracks or anything form the top to indicate they are shot. Thanks
