I must thank you for bringing this to my attention. It is VERY awkward to tell someone who just bought a used kit that it will cost hundreds of dollars to just bring it to a point where they can install it on the car. And then they are very disappointed that the springs/shocks in the kit were designed for someone else, not them and their usage.
Details:
The shocks are not Ground Control shocks, they are not even the M3 Koni shocks that GC has always recommended for the budget e30. They are regular old Konis.
The springs are longer than used on any e30 coil over kit. These springs would only have been sent by GC if the customer specifically requested an e30 that was higher than stock, maybe a rally car. But you would never use that particular Shock on a rally car....
It is my opinion that this was never installed with these springs on an e30, and somebody grabbed some Eibach springs and some Ground Control parts and is trying to sell it as a GC kit.
There are major pieces missing, particularly the rear upper perches which are $58 just to replace.
I searched for that rear shock part number, it doesn't exist
Thats actually not the part number, Its the date code. Manufactured in the 11th week of 1996.
The rear shock looks just like the standard one. The M3 rear has a metal dust shroud, and that one is plastic. So its not the M3. Plus it is not top adjust, you can see the washers from the stock RSM in the pic, so it has to be 10mm not 12 like a top-adjust.

Thanks.
The seller claimed the rear shocks were adjusted by "pushing and rotating the shock".
