Help! putting in my rear suspension and have a diff problem!

Alright so for putting in the rear springs I need to lower the diff, But I can only get it to go down about an inch and a half, but in the pic on Pelican Parts, they have theirs down at least 3 inches. Is there something I'm missing?

Silly question, I know... but do you have the parking brake on?

Lift car, remove wheels, remove calipers, unbolt swaybar, unbolt struts, unbolt diff, lower diff, add a little downward pressure to trailing arm, rear springs should fall out.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

That's way too much to go through.

Get the rear of the car on jackstands, remove the wheels & lower shock bolt and disconnect the sway links. Use a spring compressor to reduce the height of the springs and slide them out. Compress the new springs and slide them in.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

This was assuming that the OP had no spring compressors. Besides, using the compressors would take longer, believe it or not.

If you're not saving the stock springs, just cut them in half while they're still on the car.

i was able to push the trailing arm enough to get the springs out, I was just confused because my diff wasn't as low as the one shown in the article on Pelican Parts.

FWIW i put in hr sports and bilstein sports
