anyone out there ever purchased and used tokico blues springs and shocks, or had a friend, feedback would help.

I've had experience with their shocks.....specifically, the adjustable Illuminas. They have held up quite well for me over the years. At least 50K miles without a single problem. I am using these shocks with H&R Sport springs. The ride height has been reduced about 1.5" in front and 1.25" in back. As for the shock settings (5 in all), #1 is the softest and is firmer than stock, but not that punishing. #5 is the firmest setting and it tightens things up considerably. Body roll is reduced and road noise/vibration is amplified some. Great set up for spirited/aggressive driving or track use.
I will caution you about the Tokico Blues. A friend of mine with an '87 325is tried some of these and blew them out in no time after a couple of track events. If you don't have any plans to track your car (and aren't that aggressive with your driving) these would probably be ok. But I still think they're junk.

PO had the blues on my car and were brand new. I blew em out 6 months later purely on street driving. Oddly, they seem to work quite well on Japanese cars...go figure.Comment
