    m3 sway bar links

The e30 m3 can use a smaller diameter sway bar since it connects to a higher part of the strut right?

what would be involved in setting up a regular e30 sway bar like this, or is it the same shape?

weld the tabs onto the strut housings. TMS sells them.

The bars use all the same mounting points and are interchangable.

Ground control also has the tabs for $8 each.
I have the m3 links on my 88 325is, and i'm currerently running a 18.5mm eta bar, instead of the 21mm cabby bar I had on it before I swapped.

I swapped to the 18.5 as the 21 had to much understeer. I have a 20mm IS front bar I may try sometime but right now with a stock rear bar the 18.5 with m3 links is about perfect for my car.

I have 3 12 mm rear bars in the garage if you want to buy one for cheap.
That made a huge difference on my 85 318i when I had it.

Does the 318i have all the needed tabs and threaded holes to mount a stock rear swaybar from a 325i?

Yes my 85 318i did, and Bill has added one to his 318i also.
The hardest part of the whole job is getting the sway over the diff.

Yeah, it's a bitch to get the rear sway in. I took both wheels off and slid the whole bar through one of the springs and straight over it. It wasn't too hard to get it in that way, but it took me 45 minutes to figure out the best way to get it in.

On mine, I just pulled the passenger wheel, it helps to pull the links off and just slid in the bar then install all the hardware.
                          I can't remember if I converted my 84 318i as well or not :?

Wasn't to hard on a lift. I added one to my 85 320i made a big differance.
