z3 steering rack vs e30

Could this be the issue with z3 rack bumpsteer....I found z3 1.9 front subframe on ebay. Ask the seller to measure the distance between control arm holes in the subframe....was told 23 1/4". E30 subframe holes are 25 1/4" apart.
Is z3 rack physically shorter (without in/out tie rods). Anyone knows how long it is? Would like to compare to e30.

A Z3 rack fits the e30. The holes are in the same position. He probably didn't measure it right or it's not out of a z3. If you can confirm the part# then it should fit.
