OK I got OEM BMW rocker from the dealer so I can compare it to FEBI.. Surprise surprise ....Anyway for $50 for this "OEM" is what one is gonna get these days as OEM. Roker has FEBI marking...

Ok so my original built head is garbage, cracked. Supertech valves in it just got seated as the car had about 1k km when I noticed the crack. Valves have about 1k and have a noticeable line on the valve...

considering Febi is who makes OEM rockers as everyone claims, it's $23 or so a piece. I just ordered 18 Febi to sift through. Was I wrong and should have gotten OEM?...

won't let me edit the post. Meant not say not the valve seat but the valve spring seat...

also just an update.. casting is bubbling soap in the area cyl 5 IN valve spring seat. No visible cracks in that area but the air is leaking what appears to from the raised ridge leading to cam journal....

it wasn't never a milkshake. Just blue coolant sitting on top of the oil in cylinder 6 and cylinder 5 EX valve cavities (in the head, under the valve cover) It wasn't a lot but it was a consistent leak...

I had leak down test done when the engine was assembled and also tested coolant for combustion gases... all good there. Since I saw traces of coolant under the valve cover I automatically assumed cracked...

So what is a consensus as it sits today? Are OEM rocker arms actually Febi ones? Any advantage going OEM or it's the waste?
