    Yeap, they come out by hand nicely. Sometimes one needs to deburr spots where rocker retainer clips are sitting. It makes me cringe when someone knocks those things out with a hammer etc Sent from...

    if you are really set on this idea and don't mind redoing intermediate shaft bearing, hot tank it.....will get all that oil out.
    also maybe there is a possibility to arrange/weld all those down...

    I think your idea should be pretty straight forward if there is enough room to run tubes.
    If I recall correctly S52 oil pan (one of the best i6 engine designs IMHO) had drain cutout in the windage...

    looks like pretty bad piston design. Look at that paper thin edge by the intake valve.....probably gets hot like crazy. Is it me or that burned up piston picture has that enfeebled totally burned off/gone....
