HR OE Springs on 325e sedan

Hello all,
I just lowered my car and the intent was to keep it as close to stock as possible with minimal drop. Therefore I got the H&R OE Sport springs and Bilstein HD front shocks. The rear shocks are unknown Bilstein from a junkyard. Not very happy with the stance of the car and the ride is to stiff too. The front seems as expected but the rear is too low and stiff. Is this normal?

That compression is normal on the regular sports from H&R when sitting, it was weird to me too, didnt know the OE Sports did the same. You can do a few things to raise it. Get 15mm pads in the rear or change the rears to the convertible sport springs.

They are progressive, supposedly that's what they are supposed to do if you look the first and last coil they are not compressed.

Since a spring is an energy storage device in a way, and as long as it has been loaded it can release energy even if it appears nonfunctionally compressed. This is basically how springs stabilize suspension movement while dampers make the transition between states more controlled and aid a return to baseline loading.

Could H&R have done it another way, probably, because they seem to have assumed that you would never carry cargo since your car is now "sporty."

Remember, everything is a spring.

Well the car is pretty low now, but feels great on the road and in corners. It feels more balanced and less noisy than similar setup on my e36m3. And feels almost on par with the sport Billys on the e30m3.
Just had to get used to more bumpiness for street use. Also I secured and foam cushioned some interior panels to reduce rattle noise.
