I have heard that BC Coilovers may place the strut a bit closer to the wheel than oem suspension. Can anyone definitely confirm one way or another if 16x8 filled/drilled BBS Style 5 (et23) would need spacers with BC Coilovers? Planning on 215/45/16 if anyone has any thoughts on rubbing with this setup... '87 cabrio.

Cant say for BC's but my coilover modified struts with 16x8 +20 are near the bare limit for clearance from wheel lip to strut. My 245/45s clear the strut fine, but a +23 will be cutting it close. Not sure how the strut would sit closer either since the spindle and strut body are what create the gap. -
Thanks; so possibility I may need 3-5mm spacers all around... Hopefully some guys with BC Coils will chime in, seems like it would be a pretty common suspension/wheel/tire setup.Comment
