    Blue calipers

I had this idea to paint my M3 calipers the same color as my car, but then I figured that it probably looks better in my head than it would in real life. Any thoughts, or should I just stick with silver?

I say go with a powder black look. That way, regardless of pad compound, they will always look the same.

        I know....big help :D

          I wouldn't go with blue

I wouldn't go with blue. You're thinking about matching the caliper color to the body of your car, right? I've thought about this too, but I think it would look too "home made" (read: c-h-e-a-p). So I'm gonna probably go with this shade of silver:

I think it will bring out the rims better (I've got Ronal ACTs), rather than disrupt the continuity of color in the wheel area. Then everything you see when looking at the wheel will be either silver (wheel, calliper) or black (wheel well, tire). Keeps the profile of the car simple, not busy or clustered with color.

          Just my take though.

Powder black or Silver all other colors I've seen fade or chip after awhile and look like crap.

Well, one of my friends Photoshopped my car with matching blue calipers and surprise, it doesn't look so hot. He also made the same comment about black calipers (they never get dirty!), but we'll see. I'm having plenty of problems with the whole conversion so I have time to decide.
