Your request is a little strange, because you want something that WON'T be used on the track yet will barely be used on the street. Why not just run NT-01s or R888s all the time? They're both excellent on track and are street legal.

yea now that i think about it that was a tard request. the shop that might sponsor us and build the motor wants us to use Toyo. i have heard alot of good about them. he said the ra1's are getting hard to find but the 888's are plentiful. with a tread wear of 100 and a sponsorship i think i can live with that

I have experience with Toyo RA1's, R888's and Nitto NT-01's. For track use shaved RA1's or shaved/full tread R888's are pretty much equal. I don't have a high opinion of the Nittos and won't ever use them again. With only a change in tires my Spec E30 pushed on corner entry and was loose on corner exit when running Nitto's as compared to Toyo's. Before anyone gets excited, the Toyos' are legal in Spec E30, but any tire that fits on a class legal rim is allowed in NASA Enduros, which is why we tried the Nittos.

The nice thing about Toyo R888 tires is that they are nearly as fast at full tread as shaved. That means that you get more use out of a set of tires.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
